Diamond Creek Western Measurements Wear undergarments you would normally wear with such apparel when measuring. Wear actual or similar boots when measuring for pants lengths.  Different styles of boots may have a larger shaft, measure around this in order to have a wide enough pant leg.  Kids can be especially prone to problems with this because their legs are thinner and boot shaft is wider in proportion.  Lengths from current pants can be used for inseams and outseams.  Pants can be sent unhemmed as well. Don’t measure over loose or tight clothing, including jeans.   Take measurements within 1/4”. Take all body measurements as actual measurements, wearing and design ease will be added to the measurements you provide based on the type of garment.  If you would like extra room for growth or fluctuations or comfort, please specify. Don’t place your finger between your body and the tape measure to hold it, place a finger on top to keep it secure.
